About this application:

The purpose of this application is to allow map-based “point-and-click” access to global climate data for use in simulations of animal energetics and behavior anywhere on earth.

What to expect:

This app provides the time-dependent climate data needed to reconstruct local microclimates from the global macroclimate database. You can select a location simply by clicking on the map or entering the coordinates and you can see the climate data for every month in that location.

How to gain access:

You can sign up for an annual subscription for Adagio. Contact us to find out how you can sign up for it.

 Data Source:

This climate data is monthly means averaged between 1961 and 1990 at 10' resolution.
Data From: New, M., Lister, D., Hulme, M. and Makin, I., 2002: A high-resolution data set of surface climate over global land areas. Climate Research 21:1-25 Climatic Research Unit, University of East Anglia;

Adagio is a very easy to use and the goal is to provide a very easy-to-use, fast and reliable platform for researchers to find the climate information needed in simulations of animal energetics and behavior anywhere on earth. Wind Speed, cloud cover and maximum and minimum reletive humidity are some of the details you can find using Adagio.
